Native bee hive coming to Pine street

The native bee hive will be delivered and installed at Pine Street Creative Arts Centre next week.

Here is the email from Sophie Golding at Sydney Council which is providing them; please only contact Sophie at Council, or Thais from Sustainable Chippendale – please do not contact me – thanks.

If, for example, you wish to do the bee keeping workshop contact Sophie.

Hi all,

A quick update:

Only one week to go until the first delivery of the native bee hives! The first three deliveries will go to Newtown, Alexandria and Pine St during the week of the 24th of September. The following week (week of the 1st of October), the deliveries will go to Glebe, Woolloomooloo and Eden garden. Thankyou so much for your patience!

Also, this week a handyman will be visiting your gardens to install some brackets/fixtures to make it easy for installation. I’ll hopefully find out today a rough idea of when this will occur and let you know if possible. The bee hives will be delivered to me at City of Sydney (Town Hall house) and I will be delivering them to your gardens to install them. Unfortunately it is hard to know exactly when they will be delivered that week, but I will contact you when I am on my way to the gardens if that’s ok?

Very much looking forward to seeing you on Sunday for the native bee hive workshop.

When: Sunday, 23rd of September
Start time: 9:30am
Finish time: 11:00am

Where: Alexandria Community Centre, Corner of Power Ave and Park Rd, Alexandria

Room: Front “playroom”

Refreshments provided.”
