Learn how to make a vertical garden from a timber pallet

Gardeners

Tomorrow when we garden from 9 til 11 am most of the time it’ll be in the ‘temporary shed’ – my back yard.

We’ll make a vertical garden from a timber pallet in my back yard.

Cost?

$Nil – everthing will either be recycled at no cost to us or grown by us:  as follows -

-        timber pallet (carried back from building site on City Road by Gardener Thais)

-        hessian backing (free from Tobys Estate)

-        metal fasteners (free from my shed / cellar)

-        plants – mine, yours – bring anything you’ld like to trial such as: strawberries, tomatoes, chives, peas, nasturtium, etc

For an example, see here:

lifeonthebalcony.com…

We will do another few over the next few weeks.  The aim for tomorrow is to learn how by doing, then look to volunteers to find more pallets and materials for the next ones.  Please bring your camera so we can use photos to knock a ‘how-to’ together and so spread the knowledge.

Hopefully our new shed will be here by next week and we can bless it with a gift of a vertical garden made from a timber pallet!

If you’re new and haven’t been gardening here you’ve been invited by this email as you’ve expressed interest in going sustainable.

Be great to see you at 9 am tomorrow, otherwise, go well,

M
