Rushi’s photos of Sydney’s Sustainable House tour
Last Saturday’s tour of Sydney’s Sustainable House was a pleasure; great company, interesting discussions and gentle, positive curiosity was the order of the morning.
Two people travelled from Goulburn to see the house and discuss how to make their new house sustainable, several other folks about to set forth on sustainable projects came and, fortunately, an excellent photographer, Rushi. Rushi has put beautiful photos on her blog, Working in high heels, and I’ve copied some from it to this post. Enjoy.
Michael’s tour of his house and the nearby street gardens was terrific on Saturday. I was inspired to plant lemon tea tree and have made some inquiries about native stingless bees – and that is just the start. I have written about solar leasing in my role as a journalist on Money magazine and one way to find out more about this is to go to http://www.greencrossaustralia.org
Green Cross, with around 300,000 followers, has launched a campaign called Every Rooftop to promote solar leasing with solar company, Ingenero. See: http://www.greencrossaustralia.org For every solar system leased through Green Cross, the environmental group receives a commission of around $100, depending on its kilowatt size.
