Hi Michael,
Thank you for bringing this important topic up. I feel strongly about the sustainability of our foods systems, and will actively seek out eateries who source/ use sustainable, ethical, local produce.

There is actually a whole 'eating movement' out called the '100 mile diet', which is just as it sounds - you try to eat foods only sourced from 100 miles surrounding where you live.

Anyway, a few more names to add to the above (just a short list) would be:
https://www.facebook.com/henleyswholefoods?sk=info
Henley's Wholefood - Bondi Junction

http://www.bodymindliferozelle.com/egg-of-the-universe/
Egg of the Universe - Rozelle

http://thecommons.com.au
The Commons - Darlinghurst

http://www.cafedov.com.au/index.html
Dov's Cafe - Potts Point

http://www.threeblueducks.com/
Three Blue Ducks - Clovelly

http://www.kyliekwong.org/BillyKwongs.aspx
Billy Kwong - Surry Hills

http://lovefish.com.au/
Love Fish - Rozelle

http://www.organicproduce.com.au/#!team/c1c9t
Organic Produce - Surry Hills

http://twopeasrestaurant.com.au/
Two Peas - Glebe

There are many more, but at risk of overwhelming people, I'll stop there!
